“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. - Aesop

We thrive on the involvement of volunteers and could not do the work we do without the support of caring, concerned and passionate community members. We whole-heartedly believe that everyone has inherent gifts and talents that can be utilized to serve others. As such, we have identified different volunteer tracks in which interested community members can donate their time to support the work of Georgia Cares.

Interested individuals must be at least 18 years of age, able to attend a general volunteer training, and must submit a volunteer application. Potential volunteers will also be asked to interview and must pass a criminal background check.

Volunteer tracks include:
  • Speaker’s Bureau

A training volunteer delivers Georgia Cares training, at no cost, to interested community partners. These partners include, but are not limited to: school systems, Children’s Advocacy Centers, churches, mental health providers, hospitals and interested community groups. These are in-person trainings in which participating groups are educated on commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) trends, data and indicators, and are provided with information about Georgia Cares and the referral process.

  • Administrative Support

On a daily basis, Georgia Cares responds to multiple phone calls from concerned and/or inquisitive community members, inputs data and information related to the youth that are served, files documents and keeps its social media and website up-to-date.

  • Fundraising Assistance

The financial functioning of Georgia Cares depends partially on fundraising efforts in the community. Fundraising volunteers will assist the organization in earning funds to directly support our mission. Adding these much-needed resources will allow Georgia Cares to continue serving victims of commercial sexual exploitation at no charge.

  • Hotline Support

We operate the 24/7 statewide hotline to provide services at all times of the day to support victims of CSEC. Hotline volunteers sign up for a scheduled time(s) to oversee any calls received through the hotline.

  • Internships

Georgia Cares supports the growth of individuals who are eager to learn more about working with Georgia Cares and supporting victims of child sexual exploitation. By utilizing interns, we benefit from the innovation, passion and professional interest demonstrated by our interns, while also providing support by cultivating skills, education, and training to further their career path. Interns can support Georgia Cares in a variety of ways and we aim to tailor each intern's experience based on their strengths and interests. Click here to view our current internships.
