GPCF is a public/private partnership
that involves private physicians, dentists, physician assistants and nurse
practitioners, community health centers, health departments, pharmacies and
pharmaceutical manufacturers. These private providers are supported by the
Right From the Start Medicaid outreach workers in the public sector who screen
and process applicants for the program. Additional support is provided by
GPCF staff, who maintain the client and provider databases, staff the toll free
phone lines for clients and providers, and refer approved clients to the
volunteer health care providers on a rotating basis. Our board of
directors and advisory board are comprised of representatives from various public and private health
care associations, human service agencies and private businesses.
