APRIL 2004: PHARMACY ADVANTAGE SYSTEM CHANGES TO
CATALYST RX
The pharmacy benefits manager administering the scrip cards for GPCF clients
has changed from Pharmacy Advantage System (PAS) to Catalyst Rx. All GPCF
clients have been issued new Catalyst Rx cards to replace the old PAS
cards. This change does not affect pharmaceutical products donated to the
program, nor the way in which GPCF clients use the scrip cards. Pharmacies
needing additional information about transmitting these new Catalyst claims can
contact Catalyst Rx directly at 1-888-727-5560.
AUGUST 2003: ADDITIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS DONATED TO
GPCF, NOW AVAILABLE TO GPCF CLIENTS
The GPCF list of donated products has recently been updated to include new
products, formerly not available. In March 2003 Abbott Laboratories
(www.abbott.com) began donating key medications from its product line to
GPCF. Joining Pfizer, Inc., Johnson & Johnson and Novo Nordisk, these
medications are available at no cost to eligible GPCF clients.
In addition, Novo Nordisk has expanded its line of donated pharmaceutical
products to the GPCF program. Newly added products includes Novo Log, and
insulin needles. Note: Prescriptions for all Novo Nordisk insulin
products can be written for no more than a 90-day supply.
Please download a copy of our most recent donated product list
by clicking on the Rx logo below to see all the newly added products:
MAY 2003: Honorary and Memorial Gifts
Georgia Partnership for Caring
Foundation (GPCF) now accepts donations given in memory or in honor of a loved
one. Upon
receipt of such donation a card is mailed to the honoree or family announcing
the donation to GPCF.
A letter of receipt is also sent to the donor indicating the amount of
the gift for tax purposes.
This is a great way to honor a loved one while making a valued donation to a
worthwhile cause. For additional information on how you can make an
honorary or memorial gift please contact GPCF at donations@gacares.org,
or 678-578-2926 (1-800-473-2444 if calling from outside of metro Atlanta.)
APRIL 2003: Nonprofit
Warehouse offers a Prescription Drug Discount
Card program. The Card is FREE. It can be downloaded, with
instructions, on the web site at www.nonprofitwarehouse.com
beginning April 20, 2003. The Card may be photocopied and distributed as
repeatedly as desired.
This program offers discounts up to 50% on generic drugs and 15% on name brand
drugs.
The Card is valid in approximately 45,000 pharmacies nationwide, i.e. Walmart,
Target, Kmart, most major drug store chains and over 15,000 independent

(including GPCF), as long as it is being used to purchase prescription
medications not covered by that coverage plan. It cannot be combined with
insurance or any other offer/plan. Services include
optional mail-order prescriptions (after the first visit to a participating
pharmacy for a prescription fill, which activates the card), and there are NO INCOME
LIMITS. Visit www.nonprofitwarehouse.com
for additional information.
