Our mission is to ensure that child sex trafficking victims receive quality care and services in the State of Georgia.
Our vision is to see child sex trafficking in Georgia eradicated, and to see survivors restored and thriving.
Our Strategic Priorities:
1. Victim Support + Restoration - Georgia Cares works to identify and reach victims of child sex trafficking, helping to restore their safety, health, and well-being. Our staff follows each victim throughout his/her individual journey of treatment and recovery, while providing the necessary services and supports along the way.
2. Emergency Response + Assistance - Georgia Cares operates a 24-hour, 7-day Hotline to handle emergency calls and provide critical assistance. In times of crisis, Georgia Cares facilitates an overall coordinated response where callers are guided through a step-by-step process to access immediate medical attention and secure safe home placement as needed. Georgia Cares also assists Law Enforcement in the rescue of child victims of exploitation and trafficking.
3. Training + Awareness - Georgia Cares has grown expertise as the state's leading resource for DMST victims and now has a local and national presence within the human trafficking field. Georgia Cares trains professionals, communities and child serving organizations on the dangers, signs, and victimization of child sex trafficking and teach them prevention and safety strategies to protect our children.
4. Coordination + Collaboration - Georgia Cares functions as the single coordinating agency for victims of child sex trafficking and works with the State, providers, and partners to create a statewide collaboration and system of care for victims. In an effort to provide the most integrated care possible, Georgia Cares takes on the role of being a crux of service connectedness.
Georgia Cares is a non- profit 501(c)(3) entity. We are the state coordinating agency connecting services and supports for child victims of sex trafficking and exploitation. We strive to bring hope, build resilience, and give every child the opportunity to thrive.
